Microsoft and Boku?

With the recent release of Little Big Planet, people are going crazy over User Generated Content. which has apparently caught Microsoft's eye. Which may be why Microsoft has decided now to talk about "Boku" and, like LBP, it is all about the User Generated Content. No release date has been set yet, though. The players will have the ability to create puzzle games, racing games, and games derived from classics like Frogger, for example. I am all for User Generated content, I guess, but, gamers will definitely accuse Microsoft of "hopping on the bandwagon", and following in LBP's steps. The certainly will be hassled with that. But if they manage to pull this off, it could actually be a pretty big success. The Video shows certainly shows some possibilities.

The above picture is an example of it's interface. A simple interface with "kid-friendly" buttons. On Microsoft's project page, they said "Stickboy can't walk but he packs a wallop". Come on. Seriously now. They seriously had the nerve to copy off of Sackboy, it's like they're begging to be hassled for copying LBP's success. It's not a direct copy, though, there are a bit more features in this game. It looks like they're trying to aim for more freedom or options. In the video I seen, the level making features looked pretty good. We'll have to see how things go out, Microsoft said a demo will be playable by early next year.
